February 12, 2004I use AMSOIL Synthetic oil in my big diesel I also use it in my gas powered 1980 GMC K-2500 Sierra Classic and in my 1994 Blazer.
I also use AMSOIL synthetics to lube tranny, transfer case and rears in all my vehicle. AMSOIL was America's First Synthetic Lube, they were on the market long before Mobile 1 and all the other followers. They also have a lot better selection. This might be "anal" of me, but I figure if they do the scheduled maintainance, I cant be blamed for a failure due to my choice of products or service suggestions.
I think synthetics are fine to use as long as it meets the manuals recommendations. Just my
