February 27, 2010how easy is it to swap chips on a 1994 Chevy Suburban 1500? can I remotely locate it so I dont have to open the computer every time? also, what should I get to improve my MPG and shift earlier? or are they all custom made?

February 27, 2010with my chip its a jet stage one. you have to go behinf the glove box to where the comp is and plug it in between the stock chip and the computer. not to hard to get at. it did increase mpg and power though. now im looking into a custom tune though
February 27, 2010I think the shifting is built into some chips. It depends on what they offer.
February 27, 2010well im totally new to this chip thing, so what should I look for? Im not planning to do any heavy hauling with my truck anytime soon, so all im worried about now is MPG. later on, when I get a second vehicle, ill want total power
February 27, 2010i`d look into getting a custom tune or if you just want a chip look into the jet system. has 6 different modes. ranging from economy to power. not a bad price either for plug in and go
September 8, 2010Hello everone,
I am a new member here I need help with my 02` Silverado 4x4 Z71 I just love my truck and want to keep it as long as I can but with gas prices the way they are its getting harder and harder to do that. I want to increase my gas millage so I can keep it as long as I can I have put GMs high performance life time air filter on as well as a free flow doule (not sure on the spelling) muffler system. on the highway at around 65mph I average about 20 to 21mpg on a good day. I am looking into those plug and go chips so fare the best ones seem to be from "Superchip or SuperCharge" and from Motorvaion.
After talking to allot of Mechanics and other truck owners they seem to give you anywhere from 2 to 6mpg. Can any of you help me out here is there any truth to these chips and if so what would you say is the best one to buy? thanks for you time.
Owning a Silverado is Heaven!!.
November 17, 2010I`m a new member. I have a S-10 1999. It stopped while I was going 55 miles per hour. I coasted to the side of the road, it wouldn`t start (no turnover just nothing) so I had it towed. I started right up when I got it home. I drove it to Aamco to put it on diagnostic made an appointment and it wouldn`t start again when I got in the truck. Aamco can`t diagnose it. Help?
I have 1999 S10 pickup. Dies during operation. Don`t know why anyone have those problems?
September 1, 2011What type of trans do you have, auto or manual? Sorry I guess I should have looked at the posting date. If you haven`t figured that problem out by now you never will.
always need more power and the facts wouldn`t hurt either.
