December 4, 2011Advance Auto Parts used to have a customer feedback/rating system that was initiated via an ID number on a purchase receipt. I always participated and gave them high marks for my experiences with them, which they deserved. I recently went to an Advance Auto Parts and was virtually ignored when trying to buy oil and filters for my vehicles. I swear that they wouldn`t mind if I left. After my purchase, I then noticed that the rating system has since disappeared from the sales receipt. I also noticed on the website that there is no place to provide customer feedback to customer service. It`s almost as if the employees know this. As much as I don`t like to go to Walmart for the same reasons, I`m going to go there in the future, because if I`m going to be treated like crap at Advance, I`d rather be paying a little less at Walmart.

December 4, 2011And as your a long time Customer(It Seems you are) Let Them Know
December 4, 2011I used to frequent go to advanced but i have now stopped because i had a bad run of parts that failed..... I just go to Napa now... never had one problem since then.
December 5, 2011I actually go to pep boys for most of my parts, ive never had a good experience with the service department, but the sales people there are great! Very knowledgable and friendly. Now for the little pain in the ass parts i usually hit up a dealer. And for service, i hit up my garage. Lol
December 7, 2011I have never had any of these issues when I go to the Advance stores in my area. I have used Autozone, NAPA and Pep Boys. All have good service, although the Pep Boys is a much larger store and it seems to be understaffed for it`s size.
December 7, 2011[personally, i go to NAPA for odds and ends and hard to find stuff (they stock more than twice of what shucks does and over 4 times what Autozone stocks) but for common pieces, i will shop all of them. including Motion Auto Parts. Motion seems to be the cheapest, but Shucks always will match their price. My main preference for shucks and autozone is anything aftermarket and non engine related. everything else NAPA, as around here the people at NAPA know what they are talking about, how to fix the issue, what problems you will run into, ect. Where as shucks and autozone usually dont know a thing. shucks is getting better, but most of the people at shucks and autzone don`t know what they have, where it is, and how to use it. I usually have to tell them where a part or item is located, (shucks only up front, but autozone i have repeatedly told them where a part it in their back, and no i have never worked there. i don`t now why i know their back room better than the employees, but i do)
I don`t think we have any advance auto parts, but the name sounds familiar i`ve probably seem `em traveling, but ive never really used them. but i figured i would give u my experiences with the other auto stores. hope it helps!.
