January 17, 2012Ok guys I have a question to ask about the rear factory blocks on my 06 1500 crewcab 4x4. I have leveling keys that I will be installing within the month and I want my frontend to sit up high with the rearend sitting low as if I was hauling something but I never do. A guy from work told me that he was going to take out his factory rear blocks from his 00 Silvy 4x4 but a guy that I actually work with said that if you do that then youre going to bottom out if you hit a bump but I want to know from you guys on here. Alot of you guys on here have lots of knowledge and I enjoy reading the forums on here and I would really like to know if I am going to hurt my truck by removing the factory rear blocks.

January 18, 2012The term you are looking for is "Cali Lean". Yes it does remove the rear lift blocks. In my option it looks dumb and there is really no point. Those blocks help adjust the pinion angle and how your rear sits in your truck. I wouldn`t recommend it.
January 20, 2012Yup, I`ll second black dog. I will all so add that removing your rear block with the addition to lift keys will give it way to much rake and it would look really weird. All so when you start messing with your front keys you will need to have an alignment done.
January 22, 2012Ok I have decided to leave my factory blocks on,but yeah 98silvy I was going to have Herren Tire here in Paragould align my frontend immediately after the keys are installed. Im anxious to get them on after having them for so long. Do I need to replace my rear shocks or can I just get away with just replacing the front shocks,I have 2 inch rear blocks that came with the lift but I dont want to install them since I am looking for the Cali lean appearance.
