I have had this issue for a while now usually when I first back out of drive way I go about 5-10 feet and here a pop or clunk, sometimes after combing to a stop and taking off I here it either right away or after going a short distance. I have been told this is the slip yoke. I also hear a pop sometimes when turning at low speeds ( weird part is I usually here it after driving in rain or water) but sounds like it is from passenger front wheel area. I have taken it in twice two have front end looked at, ball joints and control arm bushings, steering linkage, both times they said everything looks ok, they thought it could be the slip yoke or the steering shaft. Been hearing this off and on for over two years now, hasn`t gotten worse like I thought it would if it were control arms or ball joints. Just wanted to know if there was anything else I should check. I have some money saved to put into the pickup and just want to make sure I spend on what needs done first.
